Fields of survey and research  ： 

Marine regional geology surveys of China seas on scale of 1:1,000,000, 1:250,000, and 1:50,000 are carrying on. Marine geological and geophysical map series for China seas and adjacent areas are under compilation. The formation and Neogene evolution of Chinese continental shelf between continental crust and the oceanic crust is selected as the key scientific problem for study.
